UAFestUkrainian Festival of Lanark

A festival in Carleton Place and its whole digital contour: a trilingual site, a CRM, an archive, a platform for other towns

live · Invents, builds and keeps the entire digital side: site, CRM, mailings, archive, grants, press · since 2023

What it is

A Ukrainian festival in Carleton Place, Ontario. It started with a garage sale in the spring of 2023 — 2900 CAD collected, and that money grew into the first festival on 5 November 2023 in the town arena. A whole machine grew after it: uafest.ca in English, Ukrainian and French, a CRM holding participant applications, volunteers, mailings and finances, a four-year photo archive, and the multi-tenant UAFest.Network platform so another town can raise the same kind of festival.
